We aren’t allowed to see each other or contact each other until these dates and we signed off on these conditions.  I’m alone and have nobody to talk to and I’m scared I am going to get convicted because on the security footage you can see me slap him.  Both me and my partner didn’t feel in danger and this was a simple mistake.  I don’t have any prior charges or convictions but I don’t know what to do.

Hopefully you will be able to drop the charges for assault but you must first show up in court and because you were fingerprinted you must get a file destruction to remove your prints once you are finished court.  Since it is your first offence and your partner does not want to necessarily press charges, you will likely get your assault charge withdrawn, dismissed, stayed, peace bond, or discharged.
