I think it was October 2016. I blew over and my car was impounded and my license revoked for 3 months. I don’t remember the cost of the fines but overall with the classes I had to take it was around $3000 in total. I was convicted of a DUI in 2017 in Toronto Ontario.

The police reports were both from Toronto, Old City Hall courts. Unfortunately, they involve MCFD, drug overdose, and another individual on my premise that were considered a ‘safety issue’ because of criminal aggregated assault charges, I would like those purged and erased from my life forever if possible, dark time in my life.

The reason this has become a major issue is because it has cost me two jobs recently. Both government jobs. I failed the criminal record check for one of them and for e-comm 911 they wouldn’t grant me a VPD clearance.

My understanding is that a DUI still show up as criminal charge. Can you clarify that for me?

Your timing is fine to start the pardon for your DUI or Impaired Driving offence.  The process takes 12-20 months so even though you are early we can start the process and begin to collect the necessary paperwork to submit to the government for final approval.  The law to get a pardon for a DUI or Impaired Driving offence is five years from the end of your punishment which in your case of a DUI it would be a fine.  The police reports can still show the safety risks but this is an internal report and not made available to the public.  Once the pardon is granted for your DUI you will be safe for work.
